White Bird is thrilled to present the Portland debut of BODYTRAFFIC, one of the most renowned contemporary dance companies in the western United States. Based in Los Angeles and led by Artistic Director Tina Finkelman Berkett, BODYTRAFFIC brings a bold, innovative spirit to the stage, capturing the essence of its creative home in Los Angeles. The company will perform three evening shows at the Newmark Theatre from October 10 to October 12, 2024, at 7:30 PM.

A Dynamic Program Rooted in American Music

The program will feature four celebrated works by leading contemporary choreographers, all set to American rock and pop music from the 1950s and 60s. The program includes:

•    A Million Voices by Matthew Neenan, set to the music of Peggy Lee

•    SNAP by Micaela Taylor, with remixed songs and interviews by James Brown

•    Blue Until June by Trey McIntyre, set to the soulful sounds of Etta James

•    PACOPEPEPLUTO by Alejandro Cerrudo, set to the music of Dean Martin
