Forum Breakfast: State of Oregon's Black Economy

Thursday, March 9, 2023 (8:30 AM - 10:00 AM) (PST)

Description

**Registration is closed**

The Portland region is full of dynamic and impactful Black-owned businesses. But there are still structural and historical barriers to entrepreneurialism in Portland’s black community. Building a more dynamic, equitable economy will require overcoming these challenges, so that all Portlanders can prosper.

Our March Forum explores the issues and articulates avenues for future growth. The newly formed Black Business Association of Oregon will share the work they have done to establish an economic dashboard that highlights key success metrics for Black-owned businesses in the region. They will be joined by a panel of speakers who will discuss these metrics and identify larger trends in the community.

A special, live announcement from U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) will also be made during the event.

Join us for our March Forum and register today.
